West London, United Kingdom Kaden Education Recruitment Limited Full time

Job Title: Teacher for Children with Special Needs

Estimated Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum

Kaden Education Recruitment Limited is seeking a skilled and compassionate Teacher for Children with Special Needs to join our team. As a Teacher for Children with Special Needs, you will work with children with diverse learning needs, including those with autism, in a supportive and inclusive environment.

About Us:

We are a large, dynamic special school in the London Borough of Brent, serving an incredible community of nearly 200 pupils from Reception through Year 6. Our school features extensive outdoor spaces, specialist rooms, and a heated swimming pool that our pupils enjoy as part of their well-rounded education.

Job Description:

  • Plan and deliver tailored lessons for small classes of 7 to 10 pupils in Year 2/3, adapting the curriculum to meet the needs and learning styles of each child.
  • Collaborate with support staff and other teachers to ensure each pupil receives consistent, individualised attention.
  • Implement EHCPs and monitor pupil progress, adjusting strategies to promote learning, independence, and confidence.
  • Create a supportive, engaging classroom environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to participate.

Requirements:

We are looking for a qualified teacher with experience in primary or SEND education. Previous experience teaching children with special educational needs, ideally with knowledge of autism support strategies, is essential. Strong understanding of SEND teaching approaches, including behaviour management and communication support, is also required. Patience, empathy, and creativity to engage pupils and make learning accessible and enjoyable are necessary skills for this role.

What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary, professional development opportunities tailored to SEND education, and a supportive, collaborative team environment. The chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners, helping them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally, is a key benefit of this role.
