Structural Engineering Alliance Group is seeking a skilled Graduate Structural Engineer to join our Manchester office. As a specialist structural engineering firm, we provide dedicated and excellent services to the events industry. Our team collaborates on theatre buildings, show productions, and outdoor events, as well as the preservation and enhancement of Grade I and Grade II listed buildings. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage in impactful, high-value projects. You will work primarily with project costs up to 12m and utilize the latest design software. A competitive salary of up to 40k will be offered commensurate with the importance of this role within our company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Use the latest design software to create and manage structural designs.
  • Liaise with key clients and discuss design/technical solutions with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects are appropriately resourced, delegating work to team members, programming deliverables, and monitoring progress.
  • Prepare calculations, drawings, details, specifications, and reports for a wide range of structures and materials

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent (Master s degree preferred).
  • Understanding of the use of design tools within a BIM environment.
  • Use of industry design standards, i.e., DMRB; Manual for Streets; NJUG SSG etc.
  • Problem solver able to offer solutions to challenges.
  • Able to work and collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Confident, articulate, collaborative & proactive.
  • Eagerness to learn and to develop your skills and career with training support.
  • Good time management and organizational skills to efficiently manage workload.
  • A good knowledge of the CDM regulations, in addition to British standards and EU regulations.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Full UK driving licence and a willingness to travel across the UK.
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK and be able to demonstrate proof when requested.
