Dementia Care and Support Specialist

As a Dementia Specialist Care and Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals living with dementia. This is a full-time role that requires primarily working independently at clients' homes, delivering personalized, safe, and compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support with aspects of personal care, including showering and bathing, dressing, and grooming, dental hygiene, toileting, and continence care.
- Assist clients in maintaining good eating and drinking habits.
- Ensure the safe usage of personal equipment and aids while respecting client dignity.
- Support social and physical activities, such as staying connected with friends/relatives, shopping, and social networking.
- Administer medications as required.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, accidents, incidents, and safeguarding matters, ensuring effective communication with families, carers, and other professionals.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all client information.
- Work collaboratively as part of the Care 24-7 team.
- Attend training sessions, supervision, and appraisal meetings.
Salary and Benefits:
You will be rewarded with a competitive salary of £12.30 per hour (upon completion of all training & compliance).
About You:
- You must hold a minimum Health and Social Care Level 2 qualification.
- Dementia awareness certification at level 2 is also required.
- You should possess a valid UK driver's licence.
- Prior experience in a similar role is preferred.
- You are committed to ongoing training and development.
- You have a strong dedication to supporting individuals living with dementia to enhance their quality of life.
- A good standard of English, both spoken and written, and ability to communicate effectively is essential.
- You possess a warm, compassionate, and personable nature with the ability to work with patience, tact, and understanding.
- You have access to a smartphone with internet connectivity.
