Job Title: Citizen/Miyano Sliding Head Programmer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CNC programmer to join our team at WEC Group Ltd. As a Citizen/Miyano Sliding Head Programmer, you will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC multi-axis sliding head autos in a high-volume production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program and set up CNC machines for high-volume production runs
  • Operate CNC multi-axis sliding head autos with high precision and accuracy
  • Develop and implement cutting strategies to optimize production efficiency and quality
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure smooth operation of the machining cell
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of tooling and workholding systems

Requirements:

  • Time-served experience in a technical machining background
  • Ability to program using Fanuc
  • Experience of multi-axis turning centres
  • High standards of H&S and Quality
  • Ability to interpret detailed engineering drawings and deliver conforming parts
  • Working with various materials including exotic grade alloys
  • A detailed understanding of engineering drawing, tooling selection, work holding & cutting strategy
  • A good communicator at all levels, with the ability to integrate and support a successful team
