Job Summary: Mentor for Students with Complex Needs

TeacherActive is recruiting a highly motivated and compassionate mentor to work in a mainstream school setting. The successful candidate will be working across key stage 1 and 2, supporting students with complex learning difficulties, autism, and other special needs.

Salary: £31,000 per annum

About the Role:
The ideal candidate will have experience in providing one-to-one support and group work sessions to promote social and emotional development. In return for the role, you can expect to receive market leading rates of pay, guaranteed payment scheme, CPD courses, and more.

Responsibilities:
  • Supporting students with SEND in a mainstream school setting
  • Working collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop individualized education plans
  • Providing one-to-one support and group work sessions to promote social and emotional development

Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with SEND, particularly those with ASD/ASC
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build rapport with pupils, parents, and colleagues
