About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Sales Strategist to join our team at Octagon Group. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving global sales and growing sales within a defined territory in-line with company objectives and growth targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generating sales opportunities with new and existing customers
  • Closing sales and achieving sales targets
  • Managing customer opportunities for bespoke capital equipment
  • Facilitating customer requests for high-value systems
  • Preparing technical quotes
  • Handling tenders and contractual negotiations
  • Project managing customer liaison during lengthy sales cycles
  • Producing PowerPoint presentations to support sales activities
  • Sales forecasting
  • Assisting with marketing activities
  • Attending exhibitions and trade shows
  • Networking at industry events
  • Developing a network of agents, representatives, and distributors

About You

  • Experience selling bespoke equipment within a technical market
  • Electronics experience
  • High-value, low-volume system sales with long sales cycles
  • Knowledge of the capital equipment sales process
  • Experience in a manufacturer of technical products
  • Degree-educated or equivalent technical qualification
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Working with agents and/or distributors
