About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Design Engineer to join our Innovation Team at Affinity Search and Selection Limited. As an integral part of our team, you will play a key role in delivering our company's New Product Development (NPD) plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop efficient hardware solutions from concept to production, ensuring timely and professional project progression.
  • Produce schematic and wiring diagrams, PCB designs, and BOMs for new designs and design changes.
  • Create software storyboards and write software code for products.
  • Debug and prototype parts, ensuring conformance to EMC Directive, RoHS, and WEEE.
  • Produce production files for manufacture of new designs and design changes.
  • Contribute to the formulation and upkeep of the NPD plan.
  • Attend Product Development Committee (PDC) meetings and contribute to the agenda.
  • Complete design changes in a timely manner when delegated by the Product Innovation Manager.
  • Seek advice from Service & Calibration, Technical, Production, Fitting, and Sales teams when producing new designs and design changes.
  • Provide technical support to Service & Calibration and other areas of the business.
  • Contribute to and be an active member of Project Teams.
Stakeholder Management

This Electronics Design Engineer role is critical to delivering the company's NPD plan on time and maintaining and developing the Innovation Team's function. Effective and regular communication is essential.

You will engage and interface with the Innovation Team, Test Materials Team, Innovation Director, Project Team Leaders, Sales and Marketing, Service and Calibration, and other stakeholders.

Requirements
  • Substantial experience as an Electronics Engineer or similar role.
  • Degree-qualified or HND equivalent level of education in electrical or electronic engineering.
  • Experience with PCB Design Package and PCB Design Methodologies.
  • Experience with writing and testing Embedded Software is a distinct advantage.
