About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Design Engineer to join our team at Affinity Search and Selection Limited. As a key member of our Innovation Team, you will play a crucial role in delivering our company's New Product Development (NPD) plan.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Electronics Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the development of efficient hardware solutions, from initial concept to test and production. Your duties will include:

  1. Designing and developing new electronic products and systems.
  2. Creating schematic and wiring diagrams for new designs and design changes.
  3. Producing PCB designs using software and methodologies.
  4. Creating BOMs for new products and BOM changes.
  5. Writing and testing embedded software.
  6. Debugging and prototyping electronic components.
  7. Ensuring compliance with EMC Directive, RoHS, and WEEE regulations.
  8. Producing production files for manufacture of new designs and design changes.
  9. Contributing to the formulation and upkeep of the NPD plan.
  10. Attending PDC meetings and contributing to the agenda.
  11. Seeking advice from various teams when producing new designs and design changes.
  12. Providing technical support to other areas of the business.
  13. Contributing to project teams and being an active member.

Stakeholder Management:

You will engage with various stakeholders throughout the design process, including the Innovation Team, Test Materials Team, Innovation Director, Project Team Leaders, Sales and Marketing, and Service and Calibration.

We are looking for a candidate with flexibility, energy, and drive to promote and respond to changing requirements. You should have excellent interpersonal skills, be resilient and calm, dedicated and conscientious, and possess high levels of integrity and professionalism.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience as an Electronic Engineer or similar role, a degree in electrical or electronic engineering, and experience with PCB design packages and methodologies. Experience with writing and testing embedded software is a distinct advantage.
