About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electronics Design Engineer to join our team at Affinity Search and Selection Limited. As an integral part of our engineering department, you will be responsible for assisting in the Electrical/Electronic design of all products.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop efficient hardware solutions from concept to production, ensuring timely and professional project progression.
- Produce schematic and wiring diagrams for new designs and design changes.
- Design and create PCBs using industry-standard software.
- Generate BOMs for new products and design changes.
- Design and develop software storyboards and write software appropriate to the product.
- Debug and prototype parts to ensure quality and functionality.
- Ensure compliance with EMC Directive, RoHS, and WEEE regulations.
- Produce production files for manufacture of new designs and design changes.
- Contribute to the formulation and upkeep of the New Product Development (NPD) plan.
- Attend Product Development Committee (PDC) meetings and contribute to agenda items.
- Complete design changes in a timely manner when delegated by the Product Innovation Manager.
- Seek advice from relevant teams when producing new designs and design changes.
- Provide technical support to Service & Calibration and other areas of the business.
- Contribute to and be an active member of project teams.
Stakeholder Management
This Electronics Design Engineer's role is crucial in delivering the company's NPD plan on time and maintaining and developing the Innovation Team's function. Effective and regular communication is essential.
You will engage and interface with various stakeholders throughout the design process, including the Innovation Team, Test Materials Team, Innovation Director, Project Team Leaders, Sales and Marketing, and Service and Calibration.

Requirements
- Substantial experience as an Electronics Engineer or similar role.
- Degree qualified or HND equivalent level of education in electrical or electronic engineering.
- Experience with PCB design package and PCB design methodologies.
- Experience with writing and testing embedded software is a distinct advantage.
