About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Physiotherapist to join our dynamic team at the Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust. As an Advanced Physiotherapist, you will have the opportunity to work with older people with frailty, developing clinical leadership skills and being involved in exciting service development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hold responsibility for your own caseload and provide a high standard therapy service in rotational posts to the Frailty Flying Squad, Older Person's Assessment Unit, and Older Person's Unit.
  • Work collaboratively with geriatricians, medical nurse practitioners, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide early assessment and intervention in the emergency department and Older Person's Rapid Assessment Area.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to promote independence, mobility, and quality of life for older people with frailty.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, promoting a culture of learning and staff development within the team.

Requirements
  • Diploma/degree in physiotherapy and HCPC registration.
  • Evidence of regular and relevant CPD activities.
  • Strong understanding of the physiotherapy process and ability to apply it when working with older people.
  • Experience of student and junior staff supervision.
  • Specialist knowledge of a broad range of conditions which older people may present with.
