About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Pensions Officer to join our team at Gloucestershire County Council. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive and effective service by introducing and maintaining new systems, ensuring high-quality data and efficient processes, and supporting data improvement initiatives and projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting employers with onboarding onto new systems
- Leading on or being part of data cleansing and maintenance projects
- Writing and running systems reports
- Introducing customer-facing web portals or data transfer systems
As a Lead Pensions Officer, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of exciting projects, including the rollout of a new system (i-Connect) amongst all our employers. You will be working closely with our team to deliver a high-quality service to our members.
We are looking for someone who is driven, keen to learn new things, hard-working, takes pride in their work, and is a team player. You will need to have some experience of working in a data or systems-focused role, ideally in pensions, but this is not essential.
We offer a range of benefits, including flexible and agile working opportunities, 25.5 days annual leave rising to 30.5 days after 5 years continuous service, and access to our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) that provides free, confidential, counselling and advice for employees.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work effectively in a team, and have a strong attention to detail.
We are an inclusive and supportive employer, committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people or vulnerable adults. We want to be an employer of choice, attracting and retaining excellent people to work for us, so that we can best serve all of Gloucestershire's diverse communities.
