Assistant Quantity Surveyor Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Randstad Construction and Property. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the Quantity Surveyor in the management of commercial projects, including procurement, package management, variations, valuations, payments, and site meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of tender documents and contract administration
  • Manage and coordinate procurement activities, including the preparation of purchase orders and contracts
  • Monitor and control project costs, including the preparation of valuations and payments
  • Attend site meetings and ensure that all contractual requirements are met
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in a commercial construction environment
  • Strong knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts, including contract administration and dispute resolution
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering results and meeting deadlines
