Job Description

The Retail Stockroom Assistant position is a key role within the West Region Retail Store located in Los Angeles, CA. This position is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the store, including receiving and processing inventory, maintaining a clean and organized stockroom, and assisting with sales floor operations.

Responsibilities
  • Receive and process incoming inventory, including verifying quantities and checking for damage
  • Maintain a clean and organized stockroom, including shelving and labeling merchandise
  • Assist with sales floor operations, including replenishing stock and maintaining visual merchandising displays
  • Support the sales team with customer service and sales floor operations
  • Participate in inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Contribute to the profitability of the retail operation by receiving, handling, and managing the inventory of merchandise and supplies in a timely and organized manner

Requirements
  • Organization and multitasking skills: High levels of efficiency and engagement are required while performing repetitive tasks
  • Communication skills: Ability to clearly communicate specifications to co-workers, orally and in writing
  • Manual skills: Ability to use a wide range of equipment and machines, including power jacks, pricing guns, cardboard bailers, trash compactors, cranes, hoists, and forklifts
  • Computer skills: Basic understanding of Microsoft programs such as Excel, Access, and Outlook, along with experience with other inventory-specific software programs
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds of merchandise
  • Flexibility to work a retail schedule which includes evenings, weekends, and holidays
