Job Summary

The Retail Stockroom Assistant position is a key role that supports the day-to-day operations of the West Region Retail Store located in Los Angeles, CA. As a member of the House of CB team, you will be responsible for performing stockroom assistant duties in a retail store setting. This includes receiving, organizing, and managing inventory, as well as providing support to colleagues on the store floor.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process daily deliveries, maintaining order and tidiness in the stockroom
• Confirm and open boxes, organizing merchandise according to stockroom guidelines
• Perform daily replenishment tasks to ensure optimal inventory levels
• Organize and allocate merchandise received according to stockroom procedures
• Provide support to colleagues on the store floor, including replenishment and ordering
• Maintain shelving areas and participate in the design of displays in windows and on tables
• Contribute to the profitability of the retail operation by managing inventory and supplies in a timely and organized manner
• Participate in formal periodic inventory audits
• Decrease store shrinkage by researching inventory discrepancies and reporting suspicious activities to loss-prevention specialists
• Organize the stockroom or warehouse, ensuring accurate labeling and logical placement of inventory

Requirements

• Organization and multitasking skills, with high levels of efficiency and engagement required
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate specifications to colleagues
• Manual skills, with the ability to use a wide range of equipment and machines
• Basic computer skills, with experience in Microsoft programs such as Excel, Access, and Outlook
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds of merchandise
• Flexibility to work a retail schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to balance competing demands and changing priorities
