**Job Title:** Classroom Support Specialist for Early Years


**Job Description:**


We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at Educators Wales. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery of reading and numeracy interventions in Year 1 and 2.


The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing high-quality learning experiences for young learners, both indoors and outdoors. They will be able to plan, deliver, and evaluate learning experiences that meet the needs of our students. Additionally, they will contribute to teacher planning and assessments and occasionally supervise whole classes during short-term absences of the class teacher.


The successful candidate will have excellent numeracy and literacy skills, patience, understanding, a caring attitude, and the ability to provide support and build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.


**Key Responsibilities:**



  • Support the delivery of reading and numeracy interventions in Year 1 and 2
  • Develop and deliver high-quality learning experiences for young learners
  • Contribute to teacher planning and assessments
  • Occasionally supervise whole classes during short-term absences of the class teacher
  • Provide support and build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff

**Requirements:**



  • NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
  • Patience, understanding, a caring attitude, and the ability to provide support and build positive relationships
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality learning experiences

**Working Hours:**


34.5 hours per week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm; Tuesday and Thursday 8:30am - 4:30pm)
