About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Paediatrician to join our team as a Locum Consultant at Newham University Hospital, Barts Health NHS Trust.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent outcomes. As a Locum Consultant, you will have the opportunity to work in a busy district general hospital, providing care to families from the local Newham community.

Key Responsibilities

The Paediatric department is based in the newly built state-of-the-art Children and Young People's Rainbow Centre. The department is one of the busiest in and around London, with a high volume of sick children transferred to tertiary centres annually.

As a Locum Consultant, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing clinical leadership and expertise in Paediatrics
  • Working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Participating in clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives
  • Contributing to the development of our Paediatric department

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • MRCPCH or equivalent qualification
  • Full GMC registration
  • Valid Level 3 Safeguarding Training
  • Experience in Paediatrics, with a strong understanding of clinical governance and service planning
