Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our Lung Cancer Services Team as an administrative support worker. The successful candidate will provide efficient and timely administrative support to the Lung Cancer Nursing Team, ensuring the smooth operation of the team's administrative functions.

Main Responsibilities
  • Respond to telephone calls in a polite and efficient manner, conveying messages accurately to the appropriate practitioner.
  • Accurately input, update, and amend patient-related information onto the computerized IPM system.
  • Action instructions initiated by CNSs regarding outpatient appointments in Consultant/CNS clinics.
  • Liaise with consultant medical staff and their teams as necessary.
  • Ensure adherence to all Trust and Local policies and procedures, including confidentiality.
  • Have a working knowledge of molecular profiles in Lung Cancer and their importance to patient care.
  • Distribute discharge summaries to tertiary sites following discharge from the surgical ward.
Requirements
  • GCSEs in English and Maths level 4-9 (A-C) or equivalent demonstrable experience.
