Business Development Manager Role Overview

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving new business opportunities and building lasting relationships with key public sector stakeholders. This business development manager position requires a proven track record in B2B sales, particularly within the public sector.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Expand business opportunities within the Bus and Coach public sector, executing sales strategies effectively.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring top-tier customer service.
  • Identify and follow up on new business prospects, both internally and externally.
  • Understand various funding options related to the ownership and usage of equipment.
  • Develop positive working relationships across all levels of the business.
  • Achieve and exceed agreed-upon sales targets.
  • Oversee project implementation and attend regular business meetings.
  • Identify improvement areas to enhance business performance.
  • Deliver impactful presentations to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leverage extensive knowledge of underwriting, pricing techniques, and sales strategies.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven track record in B2B sales, particularly within the public sector.
  • Ability to pursue and cultivate contacts for future business opportunities.
  • Full UK driving license required.
  • Extensive knowledge of CRM systems and sales databases.
  • Strong understanding of legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements in the sector.
