Job Overview

We are working with a leading privately owned house builder in the region to strengthen their team with an experienced planning manager.

The successful candidate will work closely with the rest of the team and report directly to the managing director, while collaborating with the head of land to drive business growth.

The company is a prominent player in the local market, delivering high-quality family homes in desirable locations. As a key member of the team, you will have the opportunity to work on projects that align with your interests and expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning function, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
  • Develop and implement effective planning strategies to drive business growth.
  • Collaborate with the head of land to identify and acquire new development opportunities.
  • Manage and coordinate planning applications, ensuring timely and successful outcomes.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to the management team on planning-related matters.

Requirements:

  • Degree-qualified with MRTPI
  • 6+ years of post-graduation experience in planning, preferably in a house builder or consultancy setting.
  • Proven track record of handling planning applications in the region, with a strong understanding of local policies.
  • Detailed experience in large-scale strategic land planning applications and complex residential projects.
  • Director-level calibre and a strong motivation to succeed in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
