Job Overview:
As a key member of the Service Care Recruit team, this role involves providing expert financial guidance to support the delivery of services. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team and ensuring effective management of resources, proper accountability and control, and compliance with statutory obligations.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Team Management: Organise and manage the work of a team of staff to meet its objectives.
  • Budgeting: Prepare expenditure estimates, capital programmes, and revenue budgets in line with Financial Standing Orders and Regulations.
  • Performance Monitoring: Advise on performance against capital and revenue budgets and other targets.
  • Financial Systems: Maintain financial systems and procedures in accordance with requirements.
  • Risk Management: Identify and investigate areas of potential financial or Service risk.
  • Special Investigations: Provide input into special investigations, Service reviews, and resource projects.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyse, evaluate, and advise on financial information for Service, corporate managers, and Members.
  • Operational Procedures: Devise, implement, and maintain operational procedures and schedules.
  • Financial Training: Provide financial training and advice on systems and procedures.

This is a 3-month contract with potential for extension, working 37 hours per week from Monday to Friday, 09:00-16:20. The estimated salary for this position is £25 per hour, umbrella.
