Somerset Bridge Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Actuarial Analyst to join our Reserving and Reinsurance team. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with stakeholders across the business to deliver high-quality analysis and insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular reserve reviews and deep dive analysis on the portfolio
  • Lead projects related to pricing and reserving, providing expert analysis and insights to the business
  • Develop and maintain reserving models and processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Collaborate with the Pricing and Underwriting teams to drive business growth and improvement
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and decision-making

Requirements:

  • Actuarial or statistical experience, preferably in Reserving; candidates from a Pricing background will also be considered
  • Strong understanding of general insurance concepts and reserving principles
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively
  • Proficient in Excel and other MS Office tools, with experience in coding languages such as SAS/R/Python
  • Knowledge of reserving support software, such as ResQ and/or InsurSight
