Senior Actuarial Analyst Role

Somerset Bridge Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Actuarial Analyst to join our Reserving and Reinsurance team. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with various stakeholders to drive business growth and improve our underwriting, broking, and claims handling processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular reserve reviews and deep dive analysis on our portfolio to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Lead projects related to pricing and reserving, providing data-driven insights to inform business decisions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including Pricing and Underwriting, Finance, and Claims teams.
  • Present complex data and analysis to senior stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and understanding.
  • Evaluate and improve processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements:
  • Actuarial or statistical experience, preferably in Reserving, with a strong understanding of general insurance concepts.
  • Highly proficient in Excel and other MS Office tools, with experience in coding languages such as SAS/R/Python.
  • Knowledge of reserving support software, including ResQ and/or InsurSight.
  • Excellent communication and planning skills, with a strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.
