Senior Actuarial Analyst Job Description

Somerset Bridge Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Actuarial Analyst to join our Reserving and Reinsurance team. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with various stakeholders to deliver high-quality analysis and insights.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular reserve reviews and deep dive analysis on the portfolio to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Lead projects related to pricing and reserving, providing expert analysis and insights to the business and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain reinsurance analysis and monitoring processes to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Present complex data and findings to senior stakeholders, ensuring clear and concise communication.
  • Evaluate and improve processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
  • Actuarial or statistical experience, preferably in Reserving, with a strong understanding of general insurance concepts.
  • Highly proficient in Excel and other MS Office tools, with experience in coding languages such as SAS/R/Python.
  • Knowledge of reserving support software, such as ResQ and/or InsurSight, is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and planning skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
