Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Caretaker to join our team at a Secondary school in Hammersmith and Fulham. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the school's premises.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Management: Lock and unlock the premises as required, including out of school hours as necessary, to ensure the site is secure and safe for staff, pupils, and visitors.
- Health and Safety: Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address any potential hazards, and advise the Site Manager of any issues that require attention.
- Maintenance and Repairs: Respond to maintenance requests from staff and colleagues, and carry out routine maintenance tasks to ensure the site is well-maintained.
- Compliance and Administration: Conduct compliance checks as instructed, and provide administration support for lettings of the school facilities.
- Portage and Deliveries: Carry out portage duties, such as moving furniture and equipment around the site, and take deliveries of stores, materials, and other goods.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Trained and accredited to undertake Portable Electrical Equipment Testing, or willingness to undertake this.
- Experience: Experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of providing excellent facilities management services.
- Certifications: Hold a valid 3-day First Aid Certificate, or willingness to undertake this.
Working Arrangements:
This is a temporary position, with the option to make it permanent at a later date. The successful candidate will be required to work a varied shift pattern, including early mornings and evenings.

We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education', and require all candidates to undergo a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
