About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Ward Manager to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Inpatient Service at Brookside in Goodmayes, Ilford, Essex.

As a Deputy Ward Manager, you will play a key role in leading and managing a team of nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to young people aged 12-18 with acute emotional, psychological, and behavioural difficulties.

You will be responsible for deputising for the Ward Manager in their absence, chairing meetings, and undertaking management roles. You will also be expected to complete clinical audit and contribute to governance processes, manage HR systems, and provide clinical and safeguarding supervision.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of one year's experience working as a Nurse, preferably within a CAMHS and/or crisis setting. You will be a registered Mental Health Nurse with a Degree and evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

You will be able to work independently, as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will also be able to facilitate positive multi-disciplinary working relationships and resolve difficulties that affect working relationships.
