At Wellcome Trust, we are committed to advancing our understanding of the world through science. We seek a skilled Bioethics Specialist to join our team in Euston Road offices and contribute to the delivery of key bioethics activities, resources, and investments. This role sits within the Discovery Research team, with opportunities for collaborative work with other teams.

The successful candidate will have an advanced degree in ethics, philosophy, or a related field and substantial knowledge of current trends in bioethics. They will be responsible for managing and delivering projects to enhance an embedded and proactive approach to bioethics across our strategic research areas.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage and deliver relevant projects to enhance an embedded and proactive approach to bioethics across Wellcome's strategic research areas.
  • Undertake research, analysis, and synthesis of evidence on developments in bioethics to inform the development and delivery of Wellcome's strategic activities.
  • Facilitate engagement and networking with funded platforms, networks, and grantees to enable them to share their work and expertise with colleagues across Wellcome.
  • Work in collaboration with teams across Wellcome to support appropriate ethics analysis throughout the lifecycle of research activities.

We offer a competitive salary of £55,400 and a hybrid working environment that allows for flexible working arrangements. Our Hybrid Way of Working enables staff to perform at their best by allowing 3 days in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) and 2 days either remotely or in the office.
