Linux Team Lead Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Operations Director to lead our Linux Infrastructure team in shaping the effectiveness of our day-to-day delivery and support processes. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of Linux-based systems, ensuring their reliability, scalability, and security.
The successful candidate will have advanced experience in Linux administration, with a strong understanding of networking concepts and proficiency in shell scripting for automation tasks. You will also be able to mentor and guide junior team members, demonstrating leadership and communication skills necessary for team development.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Lead the Linux Infrastructure team in executing plans aligned with organisational objectives and internal client needs, fostering continual improvement of our Linux systems.
- Work closely with other teams to integrate Linux systems with existing infrastructure and emerging technologies.
- Collaborate with peers within our wider company to share ideas and find solutions.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of Linux initiatives.
**Requirements:**
- Advanced experience in Linux administration, ensuring a solid foundation in managing Linux-based systems.
- Proficiency in shell scripting for automation tasks, enabling efficient management and maintenance of system configurations and processes.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, essential for configuring and troubleshooting network services and connectivity.
- Ability to mentor and guide junior team members, demonstrating leadership and communication skills necessary for team development.
**Salary:** $130,000 - $160,000 per annum
