About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Employment Advisor to join our team at Maximus. As an Employment Advisor, you will play a vital role in helping individuals overcome barriers to employment and achieve their career goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of customers, providing coaching and guidance to help them prepare for interviews and job searching
- Conduct in-depth assessments to understand customers' circumstances, preferences, and barriers to progression
- Develop and implement personalized action plans, including sequenced interventions and development opportunities
- Collaborate with local specialist services to address specific issues, such as substance misuse, anger management, debt advice, and health and vocational training
- Identify recruitment needs of employers and undertake tailored pre-screens and group assessments
- Co-produce effective in-work support plans with participants and employers
- Participate in continuous improvement activities to ensure excellent customer service
- Comply with company policies, including personal data security, safeguarding, and health and safety
Requirements
- Previous experience in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
- Delivering services to meet contractual and quality standards
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to plan and organize workload to meet targets and deadlines
- Desirable: experience in the Welfare to Work sector, knowledge of the employability industry, and previous experience in recruitment
