Employment Support Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Employment Advisor to join our team at Maximus. As an Employment Advisor, you will play a vital role in helping individuals overcome barriers to employment and achieve their career goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of customers, providing coaching and guidance to help them prepare for interviews and job searching
- Undertake in-depth assessments to understand customers' circumstances, preferences, and barriers to progression
- Co-produce personalized action plans with sequenced interventions and development opportunities
- Work with local specialist services to address specific issues, such as substance misuse, anger management, debt advice, and health and vocational training
- Identify recruitment needs of employers and undertake tailored pre-screens and group assessments
- Co-produce effective in-work support plans with participants and employers
- Participate in continuous improvement activities to ensure excellent customer service
Requirements
- Customer-focused with a strong commitment to customer care
- Strong team player with a positive and flexible approach to work and colleagues
- Previous experience of working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
- Previous experience of delivering services to meet contractual and quality standards
- Fully IT literate in using Microsoft Office programmes and modern digital technologies
- Strong communicator with the ability to listen, question, and build relationships
- Demonstrable creative problem-solving skills and a positive approach to challenging and overcoming barriers
- Prior experience of working in a similar role in the Welfare to Work sector is desirable
