Hospitality Trainer/Assessor - Chef Job Opportunity

Located in West Yorkshire, we are seeking a skilled Chef Trainer and Assessor to join our team. As a specialist recruiter for the Skills and Employability sectors, we pride ourselves on delivering top talent to our clients.

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to transition into a rewarding career in training and development within the hospitality industry. Our ideal candidate will possess strong occupational competency as a Chef and have experience working at supervisory or management level in a kitchen.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering full Apprenticeship Standards in Hospitality, specialising in Commis Chef, Production Chef, Senior Production Chef, and Kitchen Manager via a blended learning approach. They will also deliver Maths and English Functional Skills Level 2 and support learners in achieving their goals.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Delivering high-quality training sessions to apprentices in hospitality, focusing on commis chef, production chef, senior production chef, and kitchen manager roles.
  • Using a blended learning approach that combines remote and face-to-face delivery methods to cater to the needs of various learners.
  • Supporting learners in achieving Maths and English Functional Skills Level 2, ensuring they have the necessary skills to excel in their careers.
  • Managing diaries efficiently to ensure timely visits and reviews are conducted.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation on learners' progress, ensuring seamless tracking and assessment.
  • Providing guidance, advice, and motivation to learners, helping them overcome barriers to learning and adapt to individual needs.
  • Meeting assessor KPIs regarding timely visits, quality paperwork, and general administration tasks.

You will need to possess organisational skills, planning ability, confidence, and professionalism, with the capacity to inspire and motivate people. This is a full-time, permanent position based in West Yorkshire, requiring flexibility with travel throughout the region and surrounding areas.
