Adolescent Residential Support Worker

We are looking for a dedicated Youth Home Staff Member to join our team at Polaris Community. This exciting role offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of young people with challenging behavior.
About the Position
- Job Type: Casual basis, offering flexibility and autonomy in scheduling.
- Estimated Salary: Approximately £14.15 per hour, based on location and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement Individualized Plans: Create and execute tailored care plans that cater to the unique needs of each young person, focusing on their growth and development.
- Contribute to Team Efforts: Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a safe, supportive environment, promoting the overall well-being of young people.
- Manage Time Effectively: Prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and maintain accurate records, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
- Nurture Positive Relationships: Foster strong relationships with young people, colleagues, and external partners, built on trust, empathy, and open communication.
Essential Qualifications
- Manual Driving License: A valid full manual driving license is necessary for this role, enabling you to transport young people and participate in community activities.
- Experience Working with Challenging Young People: Previous experience in this field is desirable, demonstrating your ability to handle complex situations.
- Level 3 Children and Young People Qualification: You must be willing to pursue a fully funded qualification in level 3 Children and Young People or already hold this qualification.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, are essential for effective communication with young people, colleagues, and external partners.
