Ecologist to Senior Ecologist

We are seeking an experienced Ecologist or Senior Ecologist to join our team at FPCR Environment and Design Limited. As a key member of our ecology team, you will play a pivotal role in leading and delivering high-quality ecological assessments, surveys, and mitigation strategies.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and deliver ecological projects, collaborating with our talented team of ecologists, landscape architects, and environmental planners.
- Conduct surveys, assessments, and prepare ecological reports, with a strong focus on project management and meeting deadlines.
- Advise clients on Biodiversity Net Gain, understanding and use of the DEFRA Statutory Biodiversity Metric, and production of associated reports and plans.
- Develop and maintain sound knowledge of UK ecology legislation, guidelines, and best practice.
- Collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, utilizing strong communication skills.
- At least a degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- For the Senior Ecologist role, a proven track record in managing and delivering ecological projects, with a strong focus on project management and meeting deadlines.
- For the Ecologist role, at least 3 years' experience in ecological consultancy, with a strong focus on conducting surveys, assessments, and preparing ecological reports.
- Sound knowledge of UK ecology legislation, guidelines, and best practice.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
