Job Title: Neuro Rehabilitation Speech Therapist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Philosophy Education. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will work with children with special educational needs and/or disabilities, providing individualized therapy programs to support their communication and language development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, resource, and prepare effective and engaging therapy programs for pupils with varying needs
  • Work across multiple school sites, supporting small groups or whole classes as needed
  • Deliver whole-staff therapeutic training to support staff in understanding and addressing the needs of pupils with special educational needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and other therapists to develop and implement personalized learning plans
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify areas of strength and weakness in pupils' communication and language skills

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist
  • Outstanding knowledge and understanding of speech and language therapy, including wider therapies and their applications
  • Understanding of mental health in children, adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), trauma, and the impact of abuse and mental health difficulties on child development, attachment, and behavior
  • Understanding of child development, learning, and children with special educational needs
  • Understanding of relevant policies, codes of practice, and awareness of relevant legislation
