Salary

The estimated salary for this position is £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description

We are looking for a graduate youth worker and mentor to work with children who have special educational needs. The ideal candidate will be a recent graduate in Psychology, Health and Social Care, or Education, and will have a passion for working with young people.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Work with the lead teacher to engage the student
  • Be flexible and work with the student outside the classroom
  • Provide a positive role model for young people
  • Build relationships with pupils
  • Have a right to work in the UK
  • Access to transportation (bicycle, car, or near main bus routes)
  • Availability to work five days a week, term time only
  • Relevant references and DBS/police checks, if required

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Psychology, Health and Social Care, or Education, and will have experience working with young people. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and will be able to build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
