Seeking a highly motivated and empathetic Teaching Assistant to join our team at Axcis Education Recruitment in Bristol.

The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team providing educational support to children with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and primary needs of Autism or Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing tailored support to students across three classrooms.
  • Collaborating with teachers to develop adaptive curricula aligned with the National Curriculum and EYFS.
  • Fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment that caters to each student's unique needs and interests.
  • Supporting students' skill development across various curriculum areas, including Independence, Communication, Social and Emotional development, Sensory and Physical, and Cognition.
  • Assisting with the integration of students into mainstream classes and school activities.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Previous experience supporting children with Autism, SLCN, or other SEND.
  • Ability to create a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes independence, communication, and social skills in students.
  • Capacity to work effectively in a team, adapting to the diverse needs of students with complex needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Desirable possession of Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning.

We offer £38,000 - £48,000 per annum, dependent on experience. This salary range is based on industry standards and national averages.
