Engagement Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated Engagement Coordinator to join our team and play a vital role in promoting healthy living initiatives in Dorset.

About the Position

This is an excellent opportunity for a results-driven individual with a strong passion for health and wellbeing to make a significant impact in local communities. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining effective partnerships, promoting LiveWell Dorset, and encouraging healthier lifestyle choices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • DEVELOP AND MAINTAIN EFFECTIVE PARTNERSHIPS WITH COMMUNITY GROUPS, CHARITIES, AND OTHER ORGANISATIONS TO PROMOTE HEALTHY LIVING INITIATIVES.
  • REPRESENT LIVEWELL DORSET AT COMMUNITY EVENTS, PROVIDING INFORMATIVE PRESENTATIONS AND PROMOTING SERVICE USAGE AMONG TARGET GROUPS.
  • CONDUCT VIRTUAL PRESENTATIONS, COLLABORATE WITH COMMUNITY GROUPS, AND SUPPORT ASSIGNED PROJECTS TO MAXIMISE SERVICE REACH.
  • MAINTAIN ACCURATE RECORDS OF ENGAGEMENT ACTIVITIES AND ADAPT COMMUNICATION STRATEGIES TO MEET DIVERSE COMMUNITY NEEDS.
Requirements
  • Degree in Health Improvement or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills, with GCSE English and Maths (A-C) as a minimum.
  • Proven experience in health promotion initiatives, including working with community organisations and providing one-on-one support.
  • Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office, email, and database management.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage a variety of audiences.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with flexibility to work between 8am and 8pm, Monday to Friday, with some evening and weekend availability.

The salary for this position is £12.80 per hour. Based on a full-time schedule, the estimated annual salary would be approximately £26,112.
