Job Title: Contract Senior Scientist

Join our team at Taylorollinson Ltd as a Contract Senior Scientist and take on a challenging role in our Drug Discovery and Disease Research sectors.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Imaging Scientist to lead exciting translational in vivo imaging projects and further their career in a scientifically passionate company.

As a Senior Imaging Scientist, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and running mouse + rodent PET / in vivo imaging studies for biodistribution, pharmacokinetics (PK), and cellular responses.
  • Leading projects relating to lipid nanoparticle-based therapeutics.
  • Delivering high-quality experimental data and presenting it to external partners.
  • Overseeing and managing projects spanning multiple organisations, from conception to completion.
  • Innovating in the in vivo imaging space to bring new technologies or ways of applying the technology to projects.
  • Adhering to regulations and guidelines for in vivo work, including Home Office project licence.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A PhD or Master's focused around biological imaging.
  • A personal Home Office PIL ABC licence.
  • Significant experience in positron emission tomography (PET) imaging and data analysis + image reconstruction tools.
  • Proven experience of routine in vivo techniques such as tissue collection, blood sampling, dosing via common routes, etc.
  • Experience in leading or influencing complex scientific projects.

Desirable skills include:

  • Experience working on complex projects spanning across multiple organisation types.
  • PMOD image analysis software experience.
  • Prior industry experience in an SME or pharmaceutical company.
