Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Financial Records Assistant to join our team at A&B Recruitment. As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a crucial role in producing and maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain cashbook, cash sales ledger & asset register by ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
  2. Update nominal ledger accounts regularly to reflect current financial status.
  3. Collaborate with the Management Accountant to produce and maintain financial statements.
  4. Support the audit process by providing necessary documentation and information.
  5. Raise payments on our banking software for approval, ensuring timely processing.
  6. Perform other tasks as required by the Finance department to ensure efficient operations.

Requirements:

  • AAT Level 4 or equivalent qualification by experience.
  • Previous experience as an Assistant Accountant is essential.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (including vlookups & pivot tables).
