Individualized Support Assistant for SEN Students

Join Our Team as a Dedicated Individualized Support Assistant
Protocol Education is seeking a committed and experienced Individualized Support Assistant to provide tailored support for a young learner with special educational needs.
This role is situated within a nurturing and modern educational environment designed for young girls, offering a variety of facilities including a swimming pool and specialized arts spaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and understand the unique needs and preferences of the student to build a trusting relationship.
- Assist the student in maintaining focus and engaging with the curriculum effectively.
- Guide the student in navigating social situations and managing behavioral challenges.
- Recognize and respond to the student's emotional and behavioral cues, implementing effective strategies for self-regulation.
- Maintain open communication with the student's family, providing updates on progress and strategies that have been effective.
- Foster the student's confidence and self-esteem in areas where they may face challenges.
Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Contract Duration: Long-term position with potential for continuation.
Candidate Requirements
- Prior experience in a 1:1 support role for students with special educational needs.
- Knowledge of various strategies and therapies to promote positive academic and social outcomes.
- Adept at building rapport with students and gaining their trust quickly.
- Understanding of ADHD and its manifestations in young girls.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication styles to suit the needs of SEN students.
