Rate of Pay: per Hour
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, safe care and support to children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder, learning disabilities, and behaviours of concern, using a Positive Behaviour Support framework.
- Support children and young people in their homes, centres, or communities, providing parents with a break from their caring responsibilities.
- Work closely with parents, carers, and school settings to embed strategies and interventions that promote positive change, build skills, and develop resilience.
- Provide specialist advice and support to families on the phone or in person to prevent escalation of behaviours of concern in challenging situations.
- Be available to work outside of normal hours to ensure timely advice and support, avoiding crisis escalation.
Requirements:
- NVQ level 3 or equivalent in childcare and/or health and social care is desirable.
- Proven ability to work directly with disabled children and young people who have multiple and complex needs and behaviours of concern in a professional setting, in family homes and in the community.
Please note:
- You should be available to start immediately or at short notice.
- You should have the right to work in the UK.
- This role requires an enhanced DBS.
