Job Summary:

Norwich City College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workplace Supervisor to join our Apprenticeship Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the growth and development of our apprentices in a workplace setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with apprentices and employers to review progress, identify barriers to learning, and develop strategies to overcome them.
  • Liaise with the course delivery team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of apprentice achievement.
  • Provide one-to-one coaching and mentoring to apprentices in college or in their workplace settings.
  • Travel around the county to visit apprentices in their workplaces, requiring a valid driving license and access to a vehicle.
  • Collaborate with the college's e-portfolio system and Microsoft Office to ensure effective use of technology in the workplace.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with learners or willingness to undertake training in coaching/mentoring in a workplace setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with apprentices, employers, and colleagues.
  • Good understanding of IT and ability to use e-portfolio systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Enhanced Adult and Child Workforce DBS Check and registration with the DBS Update Service.
