Emergency Department Support Associate

We are seeking a highly organized and communicative Emergency Department Support Associate to join our team at South Shore Health System. This is a part-time opportunity with 24 hours per week, rotating weekends and holidays.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting our emergency department staff in providing high-quality patient care, maintaining accurate records, and communicating effectively with patients and families.

Salary: $25-$30 per hour

About the Role

This Emergency Department Support Associate position plays a critical role in supporting our emergency department staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting patients with their medical needs
  • Maintaining accurate records of patient information
  • Participating in patient safety rounds and identifying potential risks
  • Communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Medical Support Associate or equivalent
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds and stand for long periods
