Job Description

Cpl Healthcare seeks a Health and Safety Advisor to contribute to ongoing reviews of health and safety legislative capacity and capability. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing health and safety services, drafting policies, and providing advice on duty of care responsibilities.

Key Tasks
  1. Regularly assess health and safety procedures and systems to ensure compliance with legislation.
  2. Draft and develop health and safety policies, safe working practices, and checklists to ensure staff understanding of health and safety risks.
  3. Provide advice on duty of care responsibilities and ensure departments understand their health and safety liabilities.
Main Activities
  1. Assist in developing annual health and safety work programs, including health and safety projects and monitoring performance.
  2. Develop and deliver annual health and safety audit and inspection plans, conduct risk assessments, and provide advice as required.
  3. Attend meetings to provide effective health and safety advice, review incidents/accidents, and analyze incident reports.
  4. Draft responses to AQWs/DPA/FOI requests related to health and safety and draft, review, and monitor health and safety communications.
  5. Network and liaise with other departments and organizations to promote health and safety best practices.
  6. Minimum 2 years' experience managing quality service delivery, identifying improvements, and meeting diverse customer requirements.
  7. Hold a NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent, with at least 2 years' practical experience delivering health and safety advice.

The salary for this role is approximately £94 per hour, based on industry standards for similar roles in the region. Benefits include 37 days' holiday per annum.
