We are seeking a highly skilled Safety and Security Domain Specialist to join our team at Gordon Murray Group. As a key member of our Electrical Department, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of safety and security systems in our vehicles.
Key Responsibilities- System Development: Design, develop, and integrate safety and security systems into our vehicle electrical architecture, working closely with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Requirements Management: Develop and maintain requirements specifications, timing plans, and validation requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- System Validation: Lead system review, verification, and validation activities, including FMEAs, test planning, and functionality tests.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with functional safety, legislative, electrical, environmental, and EMC requirements, and manage risk associated with system development.
- Team Collaboration: Represent the Electrical Department in status meetings and engineering reviews, and collaborate with other teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Supplier Management: Manage relationships with suppliers, including procurement, logistics, and quality, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of safety and security systems.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to Manufacturing and Service departments to ensure seamless integration of safety and security systems.
- Education: Possession of an Electronics, Control Systems, Automotive, or similar honours engineering degree. Other recognised engineering qualifications combined with relevant significant experience will be considered.
- Experience: Proven track record in safety and security systems development, engineering, or calibration within an automotive engineering environment.
- Skills: Working knowledge of relevant ADAS standards, ISO26262, and EuroNCAP; demonstrable understanding of electrical architectures and underlying network and diagnostic technologies; experience of system/component delivery within an APQP, six sigma, or similar framework.
- Personal Qualities: Articulate, self-motivated, and able to work well on own initiative; possession of a full driving licence; no visa or other restrictions for working in the UK or travelling in the European Union.
