Job Title: Assistant Manager

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Manager to join our team at Edesia. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our team members are supported and motivated.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage the Front of House and Back of House restaurant operations, ensuring that all areas are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Control operational costs and identify measures to reduce waste, ensuring that we are operating within budget.
  • Deliver superior service to our customers, ensuring that their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints, resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Regularly review product quality, ensuring that our menu items meet our high standards.
  • Organize and monitor staff schedules, ensuring that we have the right staff in place to meet customer demand.
  • Organize and supervise shifts, ensuring that all areas of the restaurant are covered.
  • Appraise staff performance, providing feedback and coaching to improve productivity and performance.
  • Estimate future needs for goods, kitchen utensils, and cleaning products, ensuring that we are always stocked and ready to meet customer demand.
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe environment for our customers and staff.
  • Manage the restaurant's image, suggesting ways to improve it and maintain a positive reputation.
  • Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly, and annual revenues and expenses, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Actively promote all the venues and its events, ensuring that our customers are aware of our offerings.
  • Train new and current employees on proper guest service practices, ensuring that our team members are equipped to provide exceptional service.
  • Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations, ensuring that we are always prepared for the future.
  • Ensure a smooth closing of the venue, ensuring that all areas are secure and ready for the next day.
  • Attend meetings and trainings when required, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Advanced level of written and spoken English.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Exceptional organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work well with others, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of all applicable software.
