About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Lawyer to join our Adult Social Care Team as a Care Advocate Expert. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a dynamic team, providing specialist legal advice on Court of Protection and Deprivation of Liberty matters, mental capacity, mental health, and the Care Act.

The ideal candidate will have significant relevant experience in the types of work within the remit of the team, including safeguarding. They will be qualified as a solicitor, barrister, FCILEx or have equivalent experience. The successful applicant will be adaptable, flexible, and ready to work collaboratively as part of an experienced team of specialist colleagues.

Some remote working will be possible, but with office-based working as required. Your main office location will be New County Hall, Truro. You'll be developing your advocacy skills in a range of Courts and Tribunals and at various hearings. We offer a competitive salary of £**£43,066 - £50,669**, a defined benefit pension scheme, and a national award-winning employee health and wellbeing programme.
