Job Description
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Monitoring Trustee team in London. As a member of our global Monitoring Trustee practice, you will manage complex compliance projects, acting as the eyes and ears of the competition authorities.
You will take ownership of the oversight of implementation of structural and/or behavioural remedies by large multinational companies. Your project portfolio will include Big Tech regulation and a wide range of sectors such as financial services, aviation, consumer goods, utilities, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing compliance projects concerning the implementation of remedies offered by parties in the context of merger, antitrust, state aid proceedings.
- Scrutinizing the implementation of structural and/or behavioural remedies by the parties in the context of divestiture processes, viability of divestment businesses, hold-separate/ring-fencing conduct, access, pricing provisions, including FRAND remedies.
- Drafting periodic progress reports to the competition authorities and liaising with the parties and their advisors to establish and maintain adequate channels of communication.
- Contributing to the growth and global success of the practice by adhering to quality standards, identifying business development opportunities, and participating in networking events.
Qualifications
We welcome applications from candidates with various backgrounds, including previous experience of Monitoring Trustee assignments, case/project leads working at competition authorities or competition sector regulators, compliance leads, consultants, auditors, transaction or corporate finance specialists, technology experts with an expertise in digital markets, and in-house staff responsible for the implementation of compliance/ remedy programmes and/or monitoring of compliance with competition law.
