About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced professional to join our education team as a Neonatal Clinical Educator. This exciting opportunity has arisen within our Women's and Children's Care Group, where you will be responsible for the ongoing development and sustainability of high-quality and innovative practice and educational development for all neonatal services.

Main Duties
  • Supporting and developing education within neonatal teams at Morecambe Bay
  • Ensuring excellent communication with senior nursing staff within the care group and trust, as well as with external agencies and Higher Education Institutes
  • Liaising with the senior nursing team and relevant others to ensure the workforce development and education agendas are aligned and follow local and national guidance
  • Managing resources effectively and demonstrating clinical skills in a training scenario
  • Providing education and training to staff, including facilitating the training and assessment of competence in the clinical area

Person Specification
  • Essential qualifications and experience include a 1st-level registered children's nurse or equivalent registered practitioner, degree education or equivalent experience, and a recognised teaching/training/assessment/mentoring qualification
  • Desirable qualifications and experience include working towards a relevant masters degree and experience in utilising a variety of presentation styles, such as PowerPoint
