About This Role

Are you a seasoned finance professional looking for a new challenge? As the Interim Controller at Viasat, Inc., you will play a critical role in managing the Energy Services Europe/Africa (EA) Accounting team. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure a timely and accurate monthly close process in accordance with US GAAP and local statutory regulations. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance - Energy Services, you will serve as a liaison between Corporate and the EA Area, continuously striving for process improvements and excellence in all regions.

Key Responsibilities
• Review close documents and reports, including balance sheet account reconciliations, to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with US GAAP and regional statutory regulations.
• Provide executive teams with financial and operational analytics to drive business growth and decision-making.
• Serve as a liaison between the EA Accounting Team and external auditors for interim and year-end testing procedures.
• Ensure timely and accurate local tax filings, statutory reporting, and required audits.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; Master's degree a plus.
Fluent English language skills.
Excellent Microsoft Office Applications skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Hands-on knowledge of financial and accounting software.
Ability to learn and develop financial reporting and analytical skills, as well as the operational side of the business.
