**TEXO Recruitment **are looking to recruit a **Senior Dimensional Control Surveyor** on behalf of our **TEXO DSI division**. This role is a full time, permanent role based in Westhill, Aberdeen.

**TEXO DSI** is a leading surveying company working internally with **TEXO Engineering** an EPC company specialising in providing comprehensive engineering solutions for multiple sectors including oil and gas. With a commitment to excellence and innovation, we deliver projects that meet the highest industry standards and client expectations and has recently secured a 3-5-year engineering & design contract with a North Sea Operator. As a result, they are looking to recruit an experienced Senior DC Surveyor with expertise in Piping and Structural disciplines to join our dynamic team based in Aberdeen.

**Job Purpose**:
The Senior DC Surveyor will lead the surveying efforts for **TEXO Engineering** in piping and structural disciplines for all their offshore engineering and construction projects. This role involves performing and overseeing survey activities, ensuring precision, and providing technical guidance to junior surveyors. The Senior Surveyor will play a key role in enhancing the quality and efficiency of surveying processes while upholding safety and compliance standards.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Lead and execute precise measurements and surveys of piping and structural elements on offshore and onshore installations using advanced surveying equipment
- Understanding basic dimensional control survey techniques and have experience using theodolite to control surveys
- Understanding Laser scanning principles and have experience operating laser scanners offshore and onshore
- To produce high quality site sketches as well as being able to identify various piping and structural components on-site
- To produce a written survey report detailing work scope and findings from survey
- To act as the site focal point for **TEXO**, communicating with client personal to determine full extent of scope of job to be undertaken and discuss suggested methods to complete scope on site and report this to **TEXO Engineering**:

- Proficient in CAD systems (AutoCAD preferred) for production of As-built modelling and Tie-point identification
- Provide technical support, ensuring accurate alignment, positioning, and dimensions of piping and structural components according to project specifications
- Conduct pre-construction and post-construction surveys, contributing to project estimating, planning and comprehensive as-built documentation
- Offer expertise in surveying methodologies, equipment selection, and data analysis for piping and structural disciplines
- Collaborate with engineering, fabrication and construction teams to address and resolve complex survey-related challenges during offshore / onshore construction activities
- Monitor and evaluate the accuracy and quality of survey data, identifying and resolving discrepancies or issues
- Develop and implement advanced survey procedures, methodologies, and best practices for piping and structural discipline
- Ensure strict compliance with industry codes, standards, and regulations relevant to piping and structural surveying
- Ensure compliance with offshore safety standards by possessing and maintaining certifications in offshore survival, mist, and medical requirements

**Qualifications required**:

- Minimum of 4 - 5 years’ experience of which half must be offshore experience
- Industry Standard Prerequisites required for offshore mobilisation (e.g. Survival / Mist / Medical etc.)
- Advanced proficiency in using surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS, and laser scanners
- In-depth knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., API, ASME, ISO) pertaining to piping and structural surveying
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to work in challenging offshore environments and ensure strict adherence to safety protocols
- Relevant certifications and licenses in surveying are required, including offshore survival, mist, and medical certifications
